Our hubs are welcoming, safe spaces where residents can come together and take part in activities. Some of our locations are also Family Hubs. Family Hubs are for families with children aged from 0 to 19 who need a bit of extra help.

A Community Hub is a welcoming place where you can go to receive help, support and meet people.
A Family Hub is a welcoming place where families and children aged 0-19 and up to 25 with SEND can go to receive help, support and meet people.
Our Family Navigators in our Family Hubs help families find and use the services they need. They can point you towards the support you are looking for, help with childcare, healthcare, housing and more. Please email familynavigators@lbbd.gov.uk or telephone 020 8227 3359.

Can I just walk in to a Community Hub or do I need to book?
You can walk in to any Community Hub and speak to someone. Some of the activities and services may need to be booked, please check our Events & Activities page for more information.
What is available in a Community Hub?
We have a range of activities and services for everyone! Have a look at our Events & Activities page for more information.
Most of the activities are free. There may be a small charge for some of the activities.

Do we still have children centres and libraries?
Children centres are now Community and Family Hubs. There are a wide range of Family Hub services happening across the borough and libraries can be found in the following Community Hubs:

- Thames Community Hub
- Whalebone Community Hub
We also have Valence Library.
Can I run an activity in a Community Hub?
